Five-step manual box of gear shifting

For ensuring smooth and unaccented switching all transfers of the forward course are synchronized. On a transmission there is a blocking device which excludes possibility of direct switching from the fifth transfer on transfer of a backing. When switchings a transmission "up" (on the highest steps) or "down" (on the lowest steps) completely switch off coupling. After transfer of the lever of switching of a transmission to the provision of the following transfer smoothly release a coupling switching off pedal. During the movement on any transfer do not hold a foot on a coupling pedal. It can result in fast wear of details of coupling.

Include transfer of a backing only after a full stop of the car. Attempt to include transfer of a backing on the moving car can become the transmission breakage reason. Completely switch off coupling and make a short pause in some seconds before including transfer of a backing. Instead of keeping of a short pause it is possible to switch on and off one of transfers of the forward course and then at once to transfer the lever to the provision of transfer of a backing. The described methods of inclusion of a backing allow to prevent shock inclusion of transfer because of residual rotation of gear wheels.

For delay of the car you can use braking by the engine, having switched a transmission to one of the lowered steps. Braking by the engine allows to control car speed at the safe level and prevents an overheat of brake mechanisms at the movement on long descents with a considerable bias. Switch a transmission to the lowered steps consistently, in process of reduction of speed not to allow excess of the most admissible frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine. After inclusion of a low gear control the frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine on a tachometer (if it is available on the car). The arrow of a tachometer should not come into a red zone of a scale. In all cases it is necessary to be guided by the values of the maximum speed of the car on various transfers given in Specifications.

At the movement on the road with a slippery covering sharp delay or dispersal can lead to loss of control over the car and accidents as a result of which you risk to be traumatized. Be especially careful if a condition of a paving such is that does not provide reliable coupling with car wheels.
