Start of the engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Cock the parking brake.
2. At a low temperature of air switch off everything auxiliary consumers of electric energy to reduce battery loading.
3. Cars with a manual transmission with manual switching: Completely switch off coupling, having pressed a pedal against the stop, and transfer the gear shifting lever to neutral situation. Cars with automatic transmission (including a besstupenchaty variator):
Check that the lever of the selector of ranges was in the situation Park (Parking). Press a brake pedal.
4. Without pressing an accelerator pedal, turn a key in the ignition lock in situation III (START-Starter) and include a starter. If the engine was not started at once, continue to scroll a cranked shaft a starter, but duration of continuous inclusion of a starter should not exceed 15 seconds. Before making a repeated attempt to start the engine, make a pause not less than 10 seconds, necessary for cooling of a starter.
5. If the engine is not started during the continuous work of a starter within 15 seconds or starts working and at once stops, try to start the engine (see operation 4), having pressed an accelerator pedal to a half of its full speed. After successful start of the engine release an accelerator pedal to avoid sharp increase of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling.
6. If the engine still does not manage to be started, completely press a pedal of an accelerator and hold it in the pressed situation in starter operating time. It will help to remove the excess fuel which got to the inlet pipeline and cylinders of the engine. Duration of continuous work of a starter, as well as in the previous cases, should not exceed 15 seconds. If the engine is not started after a purge of cylinders, once again try to start it by partial pressing an accelerator pedal (see operation 5). After successful start of the engine release an accelerator pedal to avoid sharp increase of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling.

Features of start of the engine in cold weather in the conditions of highlands (height above sea level more than 2400 m)

At a low temperature of air start of the engine is at a loss. In the conditions of highlands where air is strongly discharged, start of the engine becomes complicated in addition.
At start of the engine:

1. Switch off everything auxiliary consumers of electric energy to reduce battery loading.
2. Press an accelerator pedal to a half of its full speed and hold it in this situation during scrolling of a cranked shaft of the engine a starter. Duration of continuous inclusion of a starter should not exceed 15 seconds. After successful start of the engine gradually release an accelerator pedal, without allowing substantial increase of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine idling.
3. If the engine is not started, completely press a pedal of an accelerator and hold it in the pressed situation in starter operating time. Duration of continuous work of a starter, as well as in the previous case, should not exceed 15 seconds. If the engine is still not started, once again try to start it by partial pressing an accelerator pedal (see operation 2).

At a negative temperature of air or if the car was not used some days, let's the engine get warm about a current of 3-4 minutes before beginning the movement.
