Removal, check of a state and installation of the oil pump

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Take off a GRM drive belt (see Removal, check of a state and installation of a gas-distributing belt and cogwheels of the GRM drive).
2. Remove the engine case pallet (see Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine).
3. Disconnect assembly of a maslozabornik with the mesh filter and a tube from the bridge of covers of radical bearings and a pump housing.

4. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the oil pump from the engine (see an accompanying illustration).

5. Turn out fixing screws and uncover with the pump (see an accompanying illustration).

Not to break a vent in heads of fixing screws it is better to make their easing by means of an impact driver.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure the size of working gaps of gear wheels of the pump (see illustrations 1a, 1b, 1c ). Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. If the size of gaps goes beyond admissible values, replace the pump.
2. Turn out a stopper of the reducing valve and take from a nest in a pump housing a spring and a plunger of the valve. Check a spring for existence of deformations, and a plunger – for existence of scratches and zadir. Defective components are subject to replacement.
3. Establish gear wheels in a pump housing and fill cavities between teeths technical vaseline.
4. Grease screws of fastening of a cover of the pump with the anti-taking sealant. Establish a cover, screw screws and tighten them with the demanded effort. Establish a spring and a plunger of the reducing valve in a pump housing. Having replaced a sealing washer, screw a stopper and strongly tighten it.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Slightly grease with anaerobic sealant the surface of a pump housing interfaced to the block and the new sealing ring enclosed in a flute in the case. Install the pump on the block and with the demanded effort tighten fixing bolts.
2. Establish into place assembly of a maslozabornik, having tightened fixing bolts with the demanded effort (do not forget to replace sealing laying).
3. Install the case pallet (see Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine).
4. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to a dismantle order. In summary do not forget to fill in engine oil in the engine and to fill the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance).
5. Start the engine and check its existence of signs of leaks.
