Check of serviceability of a state and replacement of the sensor of fluctuations of a cranked shaft (CKF) The CKF sensor consists of the rotor of pulsations located on the forward pin of a cranked shaft and induction touch assembly fixed on the engine near a rotor. ECM/PCM uses information arriving from the CKF sensor for determination of size of change of frequency of rotation (fluctuations of turns) of a cranked shaft. If fluctuations exceed the limit of admissible range, the module of management regards it as a signal of emergence of admissions of ignition.

1. Find the CKF sensor electrical wiring socket on the engine block from a gas-distributing belt (see an accompanying illustration). Track that the ignition key was turned in the situation OFF and disunite the socket. |
2. Connect an ohmmeter between two external plugs of the socket (not to the central plug). The result of measurement has to lie in the range of 1.6÷3.2 kOhm, otherwise replace the sensor. 3. Serially connect an ohmmeter between the mass of a body and each of external plugs of the socket. If conductivity takes place, replace the sensor. |
