Check of serviceability of a state and replacement of the thermosensitive valve of turns of fast idling (FIT)

The FIT valve is installed on some models of cars and is used for increase of turns of idling due to supply of additional air in the inlet pipeline in the course of warming up of the engine.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the time of the beginning of check the engine has to be in a cold state. Disconnect from the throttle case an air supply sleeve (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

2. Start the engine on single turns. Push a finger in the case of a throttle and press it to the union connected to the FIT valve (see an accompanying illustration). Depression has to be felt.

3. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature and repeat check. This time depression has to be absent. Existence of tension means incomplete closing of the valve which reason the low level of cooling liquid or presence of air traffic jams in the highway of the cooling system can be – check, execute necessary adjustments.
4. If liquid level in norm, and air is completely removed from system, replace the FIT valve.

Replacement

Before starting procedure performance, wait for full cooling of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a hose from the valve, then turn out fixing bolts (see an illustration above). remove the valve together with sealing rings. At once to a zakuporta the open end of a hose for the purpose of minimization of losses of cooling liquid.
2. Install the valve on a regular place (do not forget to replace sealing rings), screw fixing bolts and tighten them with the demanded effort. In case of need replace a collar of fastening of a hose.
8 Check the level of cooling liquid, in case of need make adjustment (see the Head Routine maintenance).
