Removal and installation of the distributor of ignition

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!


2. Mark wires and hoses and disconnect an electrical wiring and hoses from the distributor.
3. Find the convex tag (in the form of figure or a letter) specifying location of the VV plug of a wire of a spark plug of the first cylinder on a distributor cover. If the cover is not equipped with marking of this sort, find the plug, having walked to it on a wire from a candle of the first cylinder, and put down the corresponding tag independently.
4. Uncover the distributor (see the Head Routine maintenance) and turn a cranked shaft so that the runner was deployed by a nose towards an arrangement of the plug of a candle wire of the first cylinder (see Repair of the engine without extraction from the car - the Civic models or Repair of the engine without extraction from the car - the Integra model).

5a. Apply on edge of the case of the distributor, directly opposite to a runner nose parallel to an axis of the last, an orientation tag (if the runner has some noses, choose central). Mark also landing provision of the basis of the distributor the engine (see accompanying illustrations). Bolts of fastening of the distributor on the Civivc models.

5b. Bolts of fastening of the distributor on the Integra models.

6. Give clamping a bolt(s) and take the distributor from the engine, having pulled it strictly vertically up.

In order to avoid data to zero efforts on drawing adjusting tags, do not allow a provorachivaniye of a cranked shaft after extraction of the distributor of ignition from the engine!

Installation

If the provorachivaniye of a cranked shaft at the ignition distributor taken from the engine was allowed, it is necessary to bring the engine into position VMT of the first cylinder (see. The appropriate Section in Repair of the engine without extraction from the car - the Civic models or Repair of the engine without extraction from the car - the Integra model and at installation of the distributor to achieve the relevant provision of its runner.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Put on a new sealing ring the distributor case.
2. Accurately fill the distributor in a reception nest in a head of cylinders. Achieve combination of the landing tags put in the course of dismantle.

Ledges at an end face of a shaft of the distributor and reciprocal grooves in an end face of a camshaft have an asymmetric arrangement that brings to naught possibility of installation of the distributor with a turn on 180 °.


3. If it is not possible to put completely the distributor, first of all make sure of correctness of combination of landing tags, then achieve that the runner was deployed by a nose precisely towards a tag on the edge of the case.
4. Freely screw clamping a bolt(s).
5. Make further assembly as it should be, the return to a dismantle order. Check installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition, then strongly tighten clamping a bolt of fastening of the distributor on the engine.
