The uniform lock – general information and check of serviceability of functioning

The device consists of switches of management, door activators, the control unit and a connecting electrical wiring. Problem diagnostics of the lock is limited to checks of a condition of contact connections of an electric chain and serviceability of operation of door activators. As in system is

polzovan the electronic control unit, full diagnostics of its refusals can be made only with use of the special equipment in the conditions of a workshop of car service. The control unit of the uniform lock is located under the dashboard, to the right of the assembly block of safety locks.

Functioning of the uniform lock happens due to operation of the bidirectional electromagnets located in the doorway of the car. The switch of management has two provisions: Are LOCK and OPENLY. At activation the switch sends a grounding signal to the control unit of door locks therefore there is the corresponding switching of activators. Depending on a starting position of the switch at its switching the control unit simply changes polarity of the current given on electromagnets.
Some models can be equipped with the anticreeping system included in structure of the uniform lock of the car. If it is not possible to find a cause of failure of system during the listed below checks, drive away the car for fuller diagnostics on car repair shop.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. First of all always check a condition of protection of a contour. Remember that on some models the chain of the uniform lock is protected by a combination of breakers and safety locks.
2. Popereklyuchayte switches of management in both directions at the killed engine. Listen to the clicks accompanying operation of electromagnets.

3. Check conductivity of switches in both of them provisions (see an accompanying illustration and the table below). Defective switches are subject to replacement.

4. Check conductivity of an electrical wiring on a chain site between switches, the control unit and electromagnets of activators. Execute repair of the damaged conducting.
5. Check serviceability of grounding of switches and the control unit.

6. At refusal of only one of activators remove the panel of an internal upholstery from the corresponding door (see the Head Kuzov) and check serviceability of giving of tension for an executive electromagnet, switching the switch of management. One of wires has to be powered in one of provisions of the switch, the second – in other (see an accompanying illustration).

7. At correct giving of tension replace an electromagnet.
8. If tension does not move on the activator, check the corresponding site of a chain (between the activator and the control unit) for existence of breaks and short circuit.

Most often damage of an electrical wiring happens on plait sites between a door and a body of the car and is a consequence of the dynamic loadings enclosed to a plait when opening and closing a door.
