Adjustment of a pedal of coupling

Details of adjustment of a pedal of coupling

Pedal height

The distance from its slip to the floor panel is called as height of provision of a pedal (see an accompanying illustration). If the result of measurement of this distance exceeds the limit of admissible range, it is necessary to make the corresponding adjustment.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For adjustment of provision of a pedal weaken a lock-nut of the sensor switch of coupling (And) or an adjusting bolt and turn out the switch so that it ceased to adjoin to a pedal. Now weaken a pusher lock-nut (see an illustration above) and, rotating the last, correct in a demanded way height of provision of a pedal. Tighten a lock-nut.
2. Rotating a sensor switch/bolt clockwise, bring it into contact with the pedal lever, then tighten on 3/4 turn/turn. Tighten a lock-nut.
3. Adjust the sensor switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter (see Check of a state, replacement and adjustment of the sensor switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter).

Free wheeling of a pedal

The distance on which the pedal moves is called as a free wheeling, without encountering resistance and without causing coupling operation (see an illustration above). At an exit of size of a free wheeling of a pedal out of limits of admissible range it is necessary to make the corresponding adjustment.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For adjustment of a free wheeling weaken a lock-nut on a pedal pusher, then, rotating a pusher, achieve the demanded result. Tighten a lock-nut.
2. Make sure of correctness of adjustment of the sensor switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter (see Check of a state, replacement and adjustment of the sensor switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter)
